To promote and encourage participation in sports and athletics for the physical and psychological benefits to be derived from such participation beyond merely winning a competition;
To develop, sponsor and present programs to children at schools, youth groups, and camps, to educate them about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, and to provide them with information on wellness and the benefits of leading life free from dependency on drugs and alcohol;
To develop, sponsor and present programs to assist athletes in preparing for their career beyond active competition and adjusting to the psychological trauma caused by the end of their athletic career or endeavor;
To develop and present programs to promote health and pysical fitness by particiaption in sports in cooperation with medical, dental, sports medicine and similar professional organizations and/or societies;
To promote sport and physical fitness programs in schools;
To promote ethical practices at all levels of sports competition;
To promote sports psychology research;
To provide recognition for outstanding developments and contributions to sportsmanship, human development, and sports psychology; and
To sponsor and present sports workshops, clinics, conferences and seminars.
